Haircare is an essential part of today’s lifestyle.  Everyone desires luscious locks and hopes to flaunt them whenever we can, but the depressing economy and the unpleasant environment makes it extremely tough to maintain their lustre and shine.

In today’s World, our Rapunzel-long hair are subjected to dust, grime, pollution and what not. The resultant of which leads to thin, brittle hair. Hair loss is another cause of concern in today’s time that can even lead to badgering of self- esteem. Nutritional deficiencies are another cause of weakening of our hair, a Protein rich diet surely boosts that.

Heavenly hair surely can be achieved, many doubt that this can only be done at exquisite parlours but we beg to differ, our holy abodes are no less.  So, to sway your magic beguiling locks follow these easy five steps:

Magic of Aloe Vera and Curd

Aloe Vera is a magic plant. From weight loss to hair care to skin woes, this plant treats all. It contains Proteolytic Enzymes in abundance which stimulates hair growth while its anti-fungal properties keep Dandruff at bay.  Aloe Vera’s goodness gives the sheen and strength to hair that we have always wanted. Curd is another magic ingredient that moisturises your hair and leaves them silky smooth. Curd is enriched with Vitamins like B15 and D, thus making it a powerhouse of nutrients.

This DIY is going to leave your hair supple and smooth!

You will need:

  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • 1 tbsp Aloe Vera Gel

Measurements are for a medium length hair.

Add these two and stir it well. To achieve the desired consistency, you can blend these in a mixer. If you want it to be more nutritious add coconut oil too! It is advisable to use this 30 minutes prior to washing your hair.

You will need:

To reap maximum affects, apply this a night before.  And hot oil treatments, bid farewell to stress too. *Just saying*

Go Get Eggs

Sounds weird, right? But once you apply it, with a tad bit of Olive Oil, you’ll understand the importance of egg.  Olive Oil provides extra softness, prevents split ends and dandruff. While egg on the other hand contains fatty acids, proteins, sodium, potassium, riboflavin and niacin.

You will need:

To achieve the desired consistency, you’ll need to mix these two. Since mixing manually can be tiring, we advise you to use a hand blender.  Once you have done this, apply this mask an hour before to reap maximum benefits. Shampoo your hair and voila, magic has been created.

Honey up

The name certainly tingles but we guarantee you won’t be disappointed with this mask. This mask contains Avocado, Honey and Mayonnaise. Avocados are in literal sense ‘Godsend’ for all of us. This fruit contains Vitamin B and E thus causing hair development from the cellular level. It moisturises too plus the high fat content of this fruit makes our hair soft. Mayo contains L-cysteine that nourishes scalp and prevents frizz and breakage.  Honey is known for its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, hence leading to Dandruff free hair.

You will need:

  • 1 ripe Avocado
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise (try and not include the fat- free one)

This concoction is easy to make. All you need to do is blend these 3 ingredients in a mechanical blender. If you feel consistency is too runny, add equal parts mayo and honey. (Ideal ration- 1:1). Apply this after an intensive hot oil treatment and wash off with mild shampoo.
