Last week, Huawei unveiled its Nova 3 smartphone in China, but it seems the Shenzhen-based tech giant is not going to stop here. Recently a leaked image suggests Huawei is planning to launch a smaller variant of the Nova 3 named as Nova 3i, which will sport a new Hi-Silicon Kirin 710 processor. The Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo leaked a image, showing the comparison between Nova 3 and Nova 3i. Nova 3 is on pre-booking in China, and is yet to be on sold.
A new poster on Amazon India, indicates toward the launch of either Huawei Nova 3 or Nova 3i on July 26. The image shows a dual-front camera and comes with a hashtag #Coming4You.
Expected Specifications of Huawei Nova 3i
Huawei Nova 3i Processor:
As per the leaks, the device could be powered by Kirin 710 HiSilicon processor, that sounds similar to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. However, the processor will be capable of AI functionalities.
Huawei also confirmed that the new smartphones will be the first models in India to feature GPU Turbo support.
Huawei Nova 3i Display:
The device will feature exactly the same 6.3-inch 19.5:9 display like Huawei Nova 3, and it will also sport an iPhone X-like notch on the top of the device. The display will use a 2.5D curved glass for the screen.
Huawei Nova 3i Camera:
Huawei Nova 3i will feature 24MP + 2MP dual-camera setup at the back, which will be backed by AI functionalities and will support Huawei’s latest camera features.
At the front, the device will sport 16MP + 2MP dual-selfie shooter with AI capabilities for portrait mode and scene detection. The front camera will also support 3D Emojis like Apple’s Animoji.
Huawei Nova 3i Battery:
The Nova 3I could be powered by a 3,340 mAh battery, which is almost 410mAh less than the battery capacity on the Nova 3. As per the source, the device will come with a 5V/2A regular charger.
Huawei Nova 3i Operating system:
Huawei Nova 3i will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Huawei Nova 3i Memory :
The smartphone will be available in two storage variants 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. The memory combinations look odd, but the leaked image suggests the same. It comes with a hybrid-SIM slot, which allows you to expand memory space on your device by using the secondary SIM slot.
Huawei Nova 3i Price and Availability:
The device is rumored to be launched in China as well as in India at the price between CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,600) and CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs. 22,600) for different RAM variants.
