South-Korean electronics major Samsung unveiled its latest offering, the Galaxy On 6 smartphone yesterday at Rs 14,490. The smartphone is an addition to its On series of mobiles and sports an 18.5:9 Super AMOLED screen, 4GB RAM and a selfie camera with LED flash.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy On 6 has been crafted to cater to the youth with its thin bezel infinity display.

For the Galaxy On 6, Samsung has partnered with Flipkart for retailing the smartphone. Users can also avail offers, such as 5% instant discount on VISA cards, and no-cost EMI of upto 9 months.

1). Operating System:
Samsung Galaxy On 6 runs on Samsung’s TouchWiz UI based on the Android 8 Oreo platform. According to Samsung, Galaxy On 6 will get further security updates soon.
2). Processor and Graphics:
The Samsung Galaxy On 6 is powered by an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor based on the 14nm FinFet process technology. The processor is clocked at 1.6GHz and uses an ARM Cortex A-53 as an architecture.
3). Camera:
Samsung Galaxy On 6 comes with an 8MP camera at the front with a selfie flash, and a 13MP f/1.9 shooter at the back.
4). Battery:
The Samsung Galaxy On 6 is powered by a 3,000mAh lithium-ion battery. However, it does not support fast charging.
5). Display and Graphics:
Samsung Galaxy On 6 comes with a 5.6inch 18.5:9 ratio display with 720×1480 HD+ resolution. The smartphone also carries a Mali T830 MP1 GPU at its heart to accelerate visual performance.
6). Security:
In terms of security, the Samsung Galaxy On 6 comes with AI face unlock.
7). Miscellaneous:
Along with the above, Samsung has also introduced a ‘chat over video‘ feature in the Galaxy On 6, which allows a user to chat over a floating translucent screen while watching videos.
